Kiryl Nazarau built the CSnap (Comic Book Value Scanner) app as a Free app with optional in-app purchases. This SERVICE is provided by Kiryl Nazarau and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Data You Provide

CSnap processes the following information locally on your device and in your iCloud account:

• Photos: Images of comic books you capture or upload for identification
• Comic Book Collection Data: Information about your comic books, including titles, issue numbers, publishers, grades, estimated values, and marketplace prices
• PDF Reports: Generated reports about your comic book collection
• AI Chat History: Conversations with the AI assistant about comic books (stored locally)

Storage: All this data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. We do not have access to, cannot view, and do not store any of this information on our servers.

Tracking and Advertising

CSnap uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes.

If you grant tracking permission:

• We may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you personalized advertisements
• This data is used solely for advertising purposes and improving ad relevance
• We do not collect or store your personal data - only anonymous advertising identifiers

If you deny tracking permission:

• You will still see advertisements, but they will be less relevant to your interests
• No tracking data will be collected
• All app features will continue to work normally

You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Third-Party Services

CSnap uses the following third-party services:

AI and Data Processing

CSnap uses artificial intelligence to identify comic books from photos, estimate values, provide information about publishers and issues, and power the AI chat assistant. This processing happens through secure API calls, and:

• Photos are analyzed temporarily and are not stored on external servers
• Chat messages are processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers
• No personal information is transmitted during the identification or chat process
• Results are stored only in your personal iCloud account

Marketplace Price Checking

When you check marketplace prices for your comic books, CSnap queries public marketplace APIs (such as eBay, Heritage Auctions, etc.). These queries:

• Do not contain any personal information
• Are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you
• Only include the comic book information you're searching for

Children's Privacy

CSnap does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has used the Service, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.

Data Security

Your data security is important to us:

• All data is stored in your personal iCloud account, protected by Apple's security measures
• We use secure HTTPS connections for all network communications
• We do not store any of your personal data on our servers
• Your photos and collection data never leave your control

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is in your iCloud account, accessible through the app
• Delete: You can delete any comic book records, photos, or reports within the app
• Export: You can generate PDF reports of your collection
• Tracking Control: You can enable or disable tracking at any time in iOS Settings
• iCloud Control: You can disable iCloud sync for CSnap in your iCloud settings

Log Data

In case of an error in the app, we may collect Log Data through third-party products. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other diagnostic data. This data is used solely for debugging and improving the app.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the app.

These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.

International Data Transfers

Since all your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, any international data transfers are governed by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and their data residency policies. We do not transfer your personal data internationally.

This Service may contain links to other sites (such as marketplace websites). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites.
